There are twelve houses in a
horoscope, each one relating to certain aspects of human life,
certain relationship, and certain part of the body. For the
convenience of the readers, I would mention in brief each one of
them.

Profession, Occupation, Nature of work etc |

11th |
House of gains, unearned profits like profit on shares, from
properties etc. |

12th |
Bed comforts foreign travel, imprisonment,expenditure ,
hospitalization etc. |

You will observe
from above that houses which are intimately connected with
the self and the the houses which relate to aspects of
marriage have been earmarked for mangal dosh. Pl see above;
the 1st house deals entirely with one's personality and
health in general. The 2nd house is called kutumbh sthan or
house of family, the fourth is sukh sthan or house of
comforts, seventh that of spouse and marital bliss, the
eighth house relates to age and longevity and the 12th to
bed comforts.
